Is clear aligner therapy painful?
The aligners aren’t painful, per se, but they can cause temporary discomfort, especially in the beginning and every time you switch to a new set. The discomfort comes from the aligners putting pressure on your teeth—a clear sign that they’re working as they should. Once you adjust to this pressure, the discomfort will cease.
Will wearing orthodontic aligners impact my speech?
The aligners may affect your clarity of speech for a day or two until you adjust to their use. Some people notice they speak with a lisp, but this is only temporary.
What happens after my treatment is complete?
Once you achieve your smile goals, we’ll give you a retainer to wear at night while you sleep to prevent your teeth from reverting to their crooked position. Wearing a retainer as instructed will help you maintain your smile’s stunning, perfectly aligned appearance indefinitely.
